Stenhill Fishery is at Long Moor, Willand, near Cullompton, a couple of miles from junction 28 of the M5. It ran for over 30 years as a private fishing club and is now a single-lodge fishing holiday under new owner Robert Pateman, with a Fisheries Accreditation Scheme Gold Award.
The site is 3 acres, fully fenced with a locked gate, electronic key entry and infrared CCTV. There is one two bedroom lodge with fast wifi, linen and towels, plus secure parking beside the lodge and lake. On the long island stands the Kiwi island cabin with a wood burner. Children must be supervised, and the fishing is not considered suitable for under 13s.
Heated aeration keeps most of the lake ice free, so the carp still feed when other waters freeze.
