Dog Friendly Hot Tub Lodges Above Rudyard Lake
Five family owned lodges in Rudyard village, each with a private hot tub and dog friendly gardens, looking over meadows to Rudyard Lake on the edge of the Peak District. The lodges do not run fishing; the lake sells its own day tickets.
A good dog friendly hot tub base, but the fishing is someone else's. The lodges are well set up for dogs and hot tubs, with meadows running down to Rudyard Lake. Angling there is run by the lake, with day tickets from £7.50 for two rods. Our listing claimed a private fishing peg; nothing on the lodge site supports that. Kipling Lodge, one of the five, also has its own listing with us. Note: there is no fishing on site.

What a Stay at Rudyard Lakes Lodges Is Like
Rudyard Lake Lodges are five family owned lodges in the village of Rudyard, near Leek in the Staffordshire Moorlands, with views over meadows leading down to Rudyard Lake. A sixth, Woodland Retreat Lodge, is about 20 minutes away in Cheshire.
The lodges are Woodlands View, Kipling, Watersview, Heronsview and Meadow View, with one to three bedrooms. All are dog friendly, with gardens designed so dogs can be off the lead, and all have private hot tubs available all year, with towels and dressing gowns provided. Check in is from 3pm and check out by 10am.
Fishing on Rudyard Lake is run by the lake, not the lodges. The lake holds pike, carp, bream, perch and roach, has about 140 marked pegs along its eastern shore and sells day tickets and season passes. Pike fishing is currently suspended while water temperatures are high.
