Dog-Friendly Fishing Lodges on a Private Lake With Carp to 25lb

Two lodges on a private, residents-only lake at Keal Cotes near Spilsby, with carp to 25lb and tench to 6lb. Both lodges take dogs, so it is one of the more private dog-friendly fishing breaks in Lincolnshire.

Our take

Two lodges and one private lake, run by the same family for 25 years. Only the guests in Kingfisher and Willow lodges fish the lake, so you share it with one other party at most. It is a well-stocked mixed coarse lake with carp to 25lb and tench to 6lb rather than a specimen water. It suits couples or a small family who want a quiet break with the rods set up outside.

Good for

  • Anglers who want a lake shared with one other lodge at most
  • Bringing the dog: both lodges are dog friendly
  • Quiet breaks near the Wolds and the coast

Think twice if

  • You want big-carp fishing: the lake is mixed coarse with carp to 25lb
  • You need a hot tub: neither lodge lists one

Book both lodges for a group

With only two lodges on the lake, booking both gives your group sole use of the water.
