Worcestershire Fishing Lodges

Worcestershire is well known among anglers because of the River Severn, but the county also has several stillwater venues where you can stay close to the water. In recent years a few stronger accommodation-led venues have emerged as well, which makes the county a better option for short fishing breaks than people sometimes realise.

The fishing here is mostly traditional coarse fishing rather than large commercial carp complexes. Many of the waters sit in quiet countryside settings, which gives them a more relaxed feel than some of the busier day-ticket fisheries elsewhere.

Fishing lakes with accommodation in Worcestershire

Below are several Worcestershire venues where anglers can stay close to the water while fishing.

  • Elmbridge Farm
  • The Lake House Alvechurch
  • The Vale Golf and Country Club Lakes
  • Malvern View Country & Leisure Park
  • Bransford Farm B&B and Fishery
  • Docklow Pools

Elmbridge Farm & Fishing Lodge

Location: Cutnall Green near Droitwich, Worcestershire
Accommodation: 4 Lodges, safari tents and bell tents on site
Dogs: Selected accommodation is dog-friendly
Lodges: The lodges are around Peacock’s pool, the smallest pool on the site, at around 1 acre
Fishery type: Farm fishery with guest fishing
Lakes: Three fishing lakes, 2 acre speciemen water to a smaller 1-acre lake
Size: Carp to 20lb in the specimen lake
Main species: Carp, bream, tench and roach

Elmbridge Farm is one of the better fits for this page because the accommodation and fishing clearly go together. Guests can stay in lodges, safari tents or bell tents and fish the lakes from the site itself, which makes it feel like a proper fishing break rather than just a place to stay near a venue. The lodges are lakeside, the tents are in a separate area.

The lakes hold the usual mix of carp and coarse fish and look well-suited to relaxed short sessions. It is the sort of place that would work equally well for an angler-only trip or a break where fishing is only part of the stay.

The Lake House, Alvechurch – Great for specimen carp anglers

Big mirror carp with mixed scale pattern

Location: Alvechurch, Worcestershire
Accommodation: Lakeside lodge on site
Fishery type: Dedicated carp lake for guests, 3 other lakes on site.
Lake size: 7.2 acres, private for lodge guests
Stock: Around 300 carp, with fish to 35lb+, over 150 carp over 20lb
Setting: Private lodge-style carp venue

This is probably the strongest carp-led accommodation option in the county. Roe Lake was built in 2021, and the fish stock is far more serious than you usually get with holiday accommodation, so it stands out straight away if your main interest is carp fishing rather than general coarse fishing.

It looks much more like a proper private carp break than a holiday park lake. For someone wanting a Worcestershire page with at least one venue that feels a cut above the standard lodge-and-lake setup, this is the one I would want on it.

The Vale Golf and Country Club Lakes – Golf & Fishing Venue

Location: Bishampton near Evesham, Worcestershire
Accommodation: Nine on-site cabins / lodge-style rooms
Fishery type: One mixed course and carp lake onsite, suitable for casual anglers
Setting: 300-acre country club complex
Main species: Carp and mixed coarse fish, nothing big

The Vale is a bit different to the more fishing-first venues, but it still fits because the cabins are right on the complex and the lakes are an option for guests staying there. It is a relaxed countryside stay with fishing on hand rather than a dedicated carp destination.

That said, it still works well for anglers who want a comfortable short break with a few sessions on the lakes rather than an all-out fishing trip.

Malvern View Country & Leisure Park

Location: Bringsty, Worcestershire
Accommodation: Holiday homes and safari tents
Fishery type: Holiday park with fishing lakes, among other on-site activities
Setting: 100 acres of farmland near the Malvern Hills
Lakes: Three freshwater fishing lakes

Malvern View is more holiday park than fishery, but it is still a useful one to include because it has proper accommodation and three on-site lakes. It suits people who want an easy break in the countryside with some fishing during the stay, rather than a venue built purely around anglers.

The fishing is not the whole point of the site, but the setup is strong enough to justify it on a Worcestershire accommodation page.

Bransford Farm B&B, Lakeside Lodge and Trout Fishery

Location: Bransford near Worcester, Worcestershire
Accommodation: Fisherman’s Lodge on site and B & B options in the main house
Fishery type: Trout fly fishery with accommodation beside the lakes
Setting: Rural site between Worcester and the Malvern Hills

Bransford Farm is a bit of a change of pace from the coarse and carp venues, but it is a genuine fishing stay in Worcestershire and worth including on that basis. The Fisherman’s Lodge sits on the fishery itself, so it is a proper waterside stay rather than accommodation somewhere down the road.

If you want a bit more variety on the page and something that reflects the county’s wider fishing scene, this is a useful addition.
