Hurst Farm has let cottages since 1999 on a farm whose lakes date back about 400 years, to when the brook was dammed to drive the water wheel of an iron furnace. Cottage guests fish the two coarse pools free and the trout lake under a fair usage policy. No fish weights are published beyond 'many specimens', so it suits pleasure anglers more than record hunters. Five accessible pegs beside the car park are a real plus.

Hurst Farm Cottages is at Morville, a few miles from Bridgnorth, on over 200 acres of Shropshire countryside. It has let self-catering cottages since 1999 and also runs a select camping site and a day ticket fishery. Ironbridge is about 10 minutes away.
The six cottages are converted farm buildings about a 40 metre walk from the nearest lake: The Granary and The Dairy sleep six, Mill House five, and The Stables, Pool View and Orchard View two each. All have wifi, a washer/dryer, dishwasher, power showers, central heating, a patio and barbecue area, and access for wheelchair users. The first dog is £15 a week and further dogs £10.
Cottage guests don't pay a penny extra for the private fishing lakes.
Two lakes are coarse waters, Furnace Pool and Middle Pool, described as old-fashioned leisure fisheries with perch, tench, roach and carp. The third is a 3 acre spring fed Trout Lake stocked with rainbow trout. Coarse fishing is included for cottage guests and fly fishing is free under a fair usage policy. Barbless hooks only and no keepnets.
