What You Will Find At Messingham
Messignham Grange Lodges are located in Messignham, North Lincolnshire. The private country park is nestled in 123 acres of beautiful scenery and not only are the lodges outstanding but there is also a wealth of things to do while you are staying there. It’s very quiet and serene which is perfect for those looking to just get away from it all and get back to nature.
The Lodges
The lodges at Messingham Grange were hand-built in 2006 using European wood pine. They are available in a one-bedroom or a three-bedroom and each lodge is spacious and very private, with outside decking and amazing panoramic views of the park. They are rather stunning to look at and it’s hard to believe that there are any neighbours around, as each lodge has been constructed on its own rather large plot of land. There is even a three-bedroom VIP hot tub lodge that looks exquisite from the outside.
A peek inside the lodges
- One bedroom retreat – this lodge has all one would expect from a luxury lodge – an ensuite bathroom, a super kingsize bed, a large, open plan lounge and dining area, wifi, a big, wall-mounted TV, an electric fire and patio doors. Oh, and you can even take your furry friend with you as pets are allowed.
- Three bedroom standard lodge – this lodge has a master bedroom with ensuite, a double room and a twin room with a shared family bathroom, an open plan, a fully equipped kitchen diner, and a comfy sofa. TV, wifi and pets are allowed.
- Three bedroom VIP lodge – this is the lodge to rival all of the other lodges. It has the same facilities as the three-bedroom standard, but it also has a large outdoor hot tub and all of the VIP lodges were refurbished in 2020 in a woodland theme.
Things to do on-site
There is an 18-hole golf course and driving range at the grange that is available for any guest to use at an additional cost. Tennis and fishing are also available and there is also a bar, a restaurant and a few scenic walks around the park for the more energetic.
If you like the outdoor life and want secluded, yet luxury accommodation then the Messingham Grange Lodges will tick all your boxes.
What Else Will You Find On Site
On-site you will find an 18-hole golf course. This is a par 71 course and has some long holes in it. The course looks challenging with some tricky-to-navigate holes, water hazards and interesting bunker placements.
Within the clubhouse, there is a bar and separate restaurant. These cater to golfers and non-golfers. The restaurant requires booking while the bar is a much more casual affair, just find a table when you re ready to eat.
Messingham Grange has a 1.4-acre fishing lake. At the time of writing this was closed with no details given on when it will reopen. The fishing is a mix of coarse and carp fishing.
Next to the venue, there are 2 other fishing lakes, one for coarse and pleasure anglers. The other one is for specialist angers with carp to 25 lb and catfish to 60lb. This is a day ticket water with pre booking only required for overnight stays.
